I went to Scotland in March 2008, to visit my ex boyfriend Chris who had moved back to his home country half a year before my visit. I was happy to finally see the country where he came from, seen as I had never visited Scotland before. I was amazed by the sheer beauty of the landscapes this place has to offer. It is everything that I miss in a flat country like The Netherlands. I really like my hills and mountains, especially when combined with lakes!
Scotland is amazing in winter as well because Glen Coe is just an hours drive away from Glasgow. So having a day trip up there to go snowboarding is not an uncommon thing.
