Food Hall app | UX Strategy
Design Brief
De Hallen is a food hall where food stalls from all over the world can be found. People who come here are here for the coziness, the nice atmosphere and decoration and the large selection of tasty snacks that can be shared. This is where De Hallen distinguishes itself from other restaurants or food halls. People who visit this place as a group can each get something to eat from a different stall, and thus share a very eclectic selection with each other. The current website only shows the range of which stalls can be found and some practical information about opening hours. On the new website and app we want to create a reservation system where people can order the food, reserve a table, pay and receive a message when their food can be picked up.
This Case Study was an assigment during the UX Design course I attended at the Competence Factory. I practiced writing a design brief, making a target group analysis, persona and customer journey. For the full UX Strategy document, see the link bellow.
User Persona
Hospital app | Task Analysis
Design Brief
Rosie is a home-visit doctor, who needs to update the hospital’s system with her whereabouts via text message. Rosie uses a custom device that appears to be a mobile phone but is tailored for use by doctors. To update her location, she sends a short SMS-like text with the words “next patient” to a certain number.
This task analysis was an assignment during the IxDF course – Mobile UX Strategy, that I’m currently following. The assignment was to draft a task analysis diagram of the brief and create your own solution to simplify and improve how users might go about the task.

Figma course
Design Brief
To gain some practical experience, I’m following a UX/UI Design course on Figma software. Here, I’ve made a lo-fi wireframe of an eCommerce purchase Task Flow. In the prototype, the buttons are interactive.

UX Design Course | IxDF 2024
Since March 2024 I’ve started learning at the Interaction x Design Foundation. As of November 2024, I’ve obtained 15 certificates, and I’m continuing to progress on the UX design learning path. I’ve learned about Design Thinking, Journey Mapping, Human Computer Interaction and the basics of Mobile UX and UI Design. I find all this theoretical information very interesting and I can’t wait to get my hands dirty on UX design and research work in real world cases.
UX Design Course | Competence Factory 2023
In September 2023 I followed an introductory UX Design course at the Competence Factory in Utrecht. I decided to take this course to further explore and investigate weather I wanted to pursue UX Design as my next career step. After this two-day course, I knew for sure that I wanted to proceed in this field. I learned about the terminology of Interaction Design, Human Centered Design, Design Thinking, UX Research, Usability and User Experience Design. I practiced creating a UX Strategy document working on a case study about a Food Hall app.
